Article 1 - Privacy

At Maison Maps we place great value on your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes. This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Maison Maps. The effective date for the validity of these conditions is 01-01-2020. With the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. Retention periods
  • We keep your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also regard this as a forget request. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your assignment.

Fiscal and/or criminal investigation

In some cases, Maison Maps can be held to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigation by the government on the basis of a legal obligation. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities that the law offers us.

Webshop software

Our webshop has been developed with OpenCart software. We have chosen Antagonist for our web hosting. Personal data that you make available to us for our services is shared with the hosting provider. Antagonist has access to your data to offer us (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Antagonist is obliged on the basis of the agreement that we have concluded with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Backups are regularly made to prevent data loss.

Web hosting

We purchase web hosting and e-mail services from Antagonist. Antagonist processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party can collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. Antagonist has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Antagonist is obliged to maintain confidentiality on the basis of the processing agreement.

Email and mailing lists

For business e-mail traffic from our website and sending newsletters (you only receive this if you have registered for it and you have left your e-mail address) we use the web hosting and e-mail services of OpenCart. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent via the Antagonist servers. At the bottom of a newsletter that has been automatically sent through our website you will see the "unsubscribe" link, if you click on it you will no longer receive a newsletter from our website. Your personal data is stored securely. We treat all our e-mail traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

We use the Mollie platform to handle (part of) the payments in our webshop. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence information and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share (anonymous) data with third parties in that context. In the case of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility), Mollie shares personal data and information regarding your financial position with credit rating agencies. All the aforementioned guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data any longer than is permitted by law.

Shipping and logistics

If you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of Sendcloud for the shipping labels and PostNL and DPD for carrying out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and city details with Sendcloud, PostNL and DPD. Sendcloud, PostNL and DPD use this data only for the purpose of performing the agreement. In the event that Sendcloud, PostNL and DPD engage subcontractors, Sendcloud, PostNL and DPD will also make your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

To keep track of our administration and accounting, we use the services of Exact and Administratiekantoor Care 4 Finance. We share your name, address and place of residence details and details regarding your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is sent and stored. Exact and Trust 4 Finance Administration Office are required to maintain confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially and will not use it for purposes other than those described above.


Article 5 - Type of data

If you create an account with us or place an order, we need information from you to process your order. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can easily unsubscribe via the website.
  • Your IP address: When you create an account and/or place an order, we save your IP address. We do this to prevent fraud.
  • Traffic data: Traffic data is stored with every visit to our website. These are, for example, the number of pages that have been visited or which items have been ordered. This data is not personal and is only used to improve the user-friendliness of our website.
  • Payment details: To be able to pay for your order, we use a secure payment environment. When you pay, your data is processed and stored in our administration, at the administration office that we have engaged, at the bank and at the payment services. This is done to link your payment to your order.
  • Fraud: We also investigate customer data to prevent fraud. If necessary (legal obligation), we pass on your customer data to the government.
  • Retention period: Your data is stored with us for as long as necessary to process your orders. If you no longer have an account with us, your data will be deleted, unless there is a legal obligation to keep this data for longer (such as the 7-year tax retention obligation).

We will not sell your personal information to third parties. To make sure your data is protected as well as possible, we use reliable partners. Your data is stored on secure servers.
